Findings summarised here describe measured averages, medians and distributions under stated conditions. A result observed in a study population is not a prediction about an individual and is not presented as one anywhere on this site.

This publication does not publish testimonials, customer reviews, endorsements, success stories or before-and-after accounts, in any section, and it does not collect or solicit them. Where the work of named researchers is described, that description is a summary of published findings and not an endorsement of this publication by those researchers or their institutions.

Accuracy and revision

Notes are written from published sources and corrected when an error is identified, under the policy on the Method page. Cited research may be superseded, revised or withdrawn by its authors or by the agency that issued it; where that is known, the note records it. No assurance is given that any summary here remains current after the date shown on the page.
